Pull Yourself Up

In victory and defeat

My boot

Straps snapped

From too

Much force

Applied for

Too lengthy of

Days

Wrapping, entrapping

My throat

Throttling my life

Time harvests the Elysian Fields

Finally, I'll recline my

Head in rest

Weary but

Not a dollar late
