PUBLIC NOTICE

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A CERTAIN HEART

By abualyaanartPublished about 24 hours ago 1 min read
PUBLIC NOTICE

Attention all inhabitants, visitors, and lingering emotional attachments: This is to advise you that the premises previously known as “the heart” are closed until further notice.

All access has been revoked.

No allowances will be given for nostalgia, unfinished talks, or gentle apologies.

Previous permission has expired.

The building has been judged unstable.

Cracks have emerged in the walls of trust.

Support beams designated eternally failed inspection.

Do not try repairs using memories.

Do not bring tools shaped like what-ifs.

The building recalls too much.

Any possessions left behind—sweaters, shared laughs, future ambitions, or the sound of a familiar voice—are now categorized as abandoned property.

They have been packaged and put in long-term storage where recovery is neither assured nor suggested.

Visitors may feel phantom experiences, including the fragrance of old perfume, the echo of laughter, or the urgent need to knock.

These are not signals of reopening.

They are afterimages.

Please do not reply to sounds heard within.

They are taught to sound credible.

They are not approved.

Emergency exits remain available, but may lead to isolation, lengthy nights, or whole days that seem unanchored.

These disorders are considered temporary, even when they linger longer than predicted.

We appreciate the inconvenience.

We do not deny the harm.

This closure is for your safety.

The sign will stay posted until the heart no longer checks the door before going to sleep.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Love it. Lock the door to the past. However, stay open to the new. Well written.
