Psalms 40:1-2

I waited for the Lord and he heard my cry

As I waited for you I made my way

Through the dark pits I saw my day

Save me from this chasm of deep and dark emotion

Lift me to my feet and restore me with your potion

For I'm hanging by a thread it won't last much longer

Dive into this abyss and oh God don't prolong her

She feeds off my worry and doubt you know it's true

Yet you let me cry and beg until I'm through

I didn't realize I was changing into something new

The darkest holes and the deepest feelings cannot compare

For life with you has no ceilings and no demon would dare

Mess with me and God will mess with you

Even when I'm down, I know it's true
