Red for a good life,
one that’s worth living wholly,
and true to yourself.
Although our past shows,
orange lighting the sky bright,
we’re not welcome there.
Identity is,
my yellow behind the clouds,
doesn’t shine enough.
Nations that at last,
gave the green light for our rights,
legally living.
But only after,
decades of being beaten,
black and blue, for what?
Only because of,
our love which we’ll lay down in,
fair lavender pride.
Well, hate to fail you,
the rainbow is our safe home,
our own true colours.
colours are our way to express our complicated lives, full of pride.
