Prosperity Looks Different Than You May Expect
A Poetic Letter to Joel Osteen and the Like

Prosperity does not mean that things will always be perfect,
it could come floating in the form of being shipwrecked.
Prosperity does not mean that things will always be ideal,
it could come through imprisonment behind bars of steel.
Prosperity does not mean that life will be "the American dream,"
it could come after fighting with the Sword against the devil's scheme.
Prosperity does not mean that you will never experience any pain,
it could come through working in harsh conditions and much strain.
Prosperity does not mean you will have lots of money in your bank account,
it could mean being content with having less as being paramount.
Prosperity does not mean that you will live in a mansion,
it could include furthering the spiritual Kingdom and seeing its expansion.
Prosperity does not mean that you will get many promotions,
it could mean going through some traumatic emotions.
Prosperity does not mean that you will never experience adversity,
it could mean walking down dark pathways full of perversity.
Prosperity does not mean that you will get everything you ask for,
it could mean fighting in the midst of a disastrous war.

I love how this flips the traditional view of prosperity! Prosperity isn't always easy or shiny, sometimes it's the struggle that shapes us the most.✨
