Progress not regress
It's hard to come by but it's what we need to do
Maybe in a certain sense anyway
No matter how you look at things, try and remember
The journey is what brought you here
Where you started and where you'll finish doesn't matter
Keep on fighting and running towards your goals
Hit those milestones and when you do
Reflect and remember what you did to get there
Take a look in the mirror and recognize the new you
Undefined by our past, it's what you do now that matters
Some will break under pressure and so might you
But stay strong because you've made it this far
Darkness is always lurking waiting to drag you down
It could be easier that way through an evil
But true strength is seeing the light even in the pitch-black
True strength is reaching for it even when you feel you're not enough
True strength comes with progress
Make the impossible in your mind a reality
Make those dreams come true

It's Tuesday 7:13 a.m. A cold and clear November morning awaits Ray on his morning commute. Ray rubs his hands together in the front seat of his Subaru. He turns the air temperature up, but keeps the air on low until the air warms up. He looks at the backup camera screen and reverses the Subaru out of his driveway onto Trimble Road.
