Programmed To Be Human

By Iron Lion

By Casper TunesPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I have a walking shadow of a life.

This is my hour upon the stage.

But don’t show me the edge of the knife,

Or I’ll be written off the page.

Cause on the outside we look the same,

But on the inside we’re not.

In the review of the game,

You’ll find I’m just a robot

Programmed to be human,

Programmed to feel pain.

Never knew I wasn’t what I was,

And I’ll stay that way, because

I will remain what I became.

Programmed to be human,

Programmed to feel pain.

Never knew I wasn’t what I was,

And I’ll stay that way, because

I will remain what I became.

Do I deserve your love?

Would I be able to love you back?

Might be able to hug,

But it’s emotions that I lack.

That’s just me.

I was made this way.

No desire to be free,

So forever will I stay

Programmed to be human,

Programmed to feel pain.

Never knew I wasn’t what I was,

And I’ll stay that way, because

I will remain what I became.

Programmed to be human,

Programmed to feel pain.

Never knew I wasn’t what I was,

And I’ll stay that way, because

I will remain what I became.

Cause on the outside we look the same,

But on the inside we’re not.

In the review of the game,

You’ll find I’m just a robot.
