Professor Unknown

a poem

By Tina RosePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Rescue me from this horrid place

Where my mind melts

Where it is drilled until holey as lace

And inside my skull are welts

Inflicted by this cruel being

Stuffing my head with only his meaning

Driving away my thoughts free and blithe

Taking hold of my brain causing it to writhe

Against its calcified womb

The orbs that join my brain in this tomb

Search out, and watch ideas fly out

With so much pressure of their push they zoom

And the watery orbs observe without

A single move to stop the process

Instead they try on a blue dress

A flag of their regret

That they remain so set

Within this sinking tomb

Words slip in through the fleshy gates

Yet none no longer escape the walls

Though the pallid lips stay in wait

Still any sound attempted quickly falls

When words finally escape the guard

They are only the ones of the supposed bad

No original thought any longer exists within

They fought the battle and did not win

Leaving behind only any empty tomb
