If folly could perceive
the way a sky looks and the gloom
before the fall
brings deceit in a river
before trust is crushed on a rock
saltwater coming down
to add tears to loss,
to shed a painful recollection
over what could be
and what left,
what came undone
in dancing with your fate
denying you were sand
hearing the will of breeze
riding a wind that never stops,
freezes all dreams awake
one a time, heart
knowing you can still see, regret
what grabs your hand
and you let go.
***
And when your heart is past
the wall of tears that lays blue
under the veil of netherland
will you look upon love as light
or do you chase it as a curse,
one that tore life in two
happiness starting sunny road,
anger the next, long path
you can't let go?
***
Spread wings and fly far from all smiles
you shriek when you hear laughter,
you sleep and wake in nightmares
another's heartbreak is your joy
tears flowing on cheeks
make you feel hopeful
there is still a way
to clutch back what was taken
to make fate learn one loss
means ruined souls,
a precipice
where you strain
to draw sunshine.
***
Falling into another's horror
is a sweet dream that makes your heart glow
it's black now
and the only glint
comes in the darkness,
dusk of ripped mind
red sheen of eyes that show no fear
no mercy, no regrets
you have become the guilt
that once made you fall
and go under
now you stay with ghost wind
shadow in spirit
soul of eternal plight
and vengeance.
