Prism of Perception

Look around, they say, and you will see,

The same sun setting behind the same tree.

Yet each pair of eyes, like prisms bend,

Creating worlds, on which we depend.

Two souls may stand on common ground,

Where joy and sorrow both are found.

One sees a bloom, in vibrant hue,

While another, thorns, of piercing view.

In the hum of a workplace, task in hand,

One builds dreams upon shifting sand,

While the other, falters, fear takes hold,

A story of courage, left untold.

Is truth a mirror, clear and clean?

Or fractured glass, a shifting scene?

Experience whispers, soft and low,

Of battles fought, and seeds we sow.

Mindset, the brushstroke bold and free,

Beliefs, the colours that we decree.

Emotions swirl, a vibrant stain,

On canvases where worlds remain.

A challenge posed, a path unclear,

One sees a wall, consumed by fear.

Yet another climbs, with spirit strong,

A symphony of righting wrong.

A whispered word, a gentle touch,

One feels warmth, loved oh so much.

While another flinches, hurt and deep,

In shadows where secrets sleep.

For seeing is not just the eye's domain,

But how the heart interprets pain,

And joy, and hope, and all between,

The tapestry of what we've seen.

So paint your world, with colours bold,

Let stories bloom, and truths unfold.

Embrace the light, the dark, the grey,

For in your hands, your visions lay.

Perception shapes the way things are seen,

Attitude decides how they're handled clean.

Interpretation turns obstacles to flight,

Narrative creates the story of our night.

Transformation happens when perspective shifts,

When you see the gifts in life's twists.

You don’t just see, you create, you know,

The seeds you plant, the winds that blow.

Each moment holds a canvas wide,

Where dreams reside, and truths abide.

So paint your picture, let it fly,

A masterpiece of your reality.
