Prism in a Box
A poem about difference and color.
By Maria Francesca SzakosPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

I don't fit inside a box
Color defines my life
Experience, thinking differently
Among such constant strife
I was born many things
But nature I love the most
Who I am is the color green
I like to watch things grow
I want to see them blossom
Into something beautiful and strong
Where everything on this planet
Feels like they belong
Creating a world of peace and hope
Safeguarding life and love
Taking care of all who need -
Protection from above
So paint a rainbow in the sky
For everyone to see
So that one day you and I
Can be all we can be
