Pride; Shine

Pride

Pride; Shine

And should you peer closely

Should you delve deeply

My vortex of secrets

Kempt and unbidden

Shall reveal my true colour

For when I arch forward

When I unveil my true nature

I shall not be beholden

I shall not remain ashen

Blanched without colour

I shall radiate with splendour

I shall not remain insipid

I shall hold my rainbow flag

I shall wave it high

And wear it with pride

And should you seek a tussle

I would think twice

For I have fought countless demons

I have raged wars aplenty

And emerged the other side

And as I tumble forward

Flag clasped between by arms

I remember when I remained neutral

When I lay cowering

Fear overwhelming me

No more I say

For I have come

To take your very hand

Entwined with mine

And shine with pride
