Pressure Points

Poetry from a sour relationship

By Mettia MillerPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Pressure Point

Tiptoeing on eggshells and prancing on thin ice

No false moves, you better not think twice.

She is giving you her heart and soul, and ALL her free time

The future you’ll share together, is embedded in her mind.

No new friends or outings with the ones you have

Keep her #1 at all times or her security will lapse

Her warnings, her insults, her signals for you to get your shit together

She got one foot in, one foot out, onto the next, maybe for someone who can do it better.

She admits to having males and females on her line, that could pamper her, wife her up, and not waste her time.

If you love me you’ll change this, that, and everything in between

She says maybe you ain’t the one for me, if I gotta keep repeating the same things.

Your worked up, got nicotine in your blood and liquor on your breath

Scattered brain still wondering is she still yours or has she left!
