“Preach To Me”

When "live and let live" slowly becomes a dying phrase

When your eyes wont stop rolling after viewing your home page

When you can't go a day without your perspective being contested

When it's clear the most humble are suffering from God complexes

When they force-feed enlightenment for all of us to sample

When words, more than actions, are used as their example

When you learn that behind all preaching is a vulnerability

When you can see relentless sharing, masks deep insecurity

When you've never asked for saving but lifestyle heroes emerge

When you can't help but raise a voice in no uncertain terms

My beliefs are WRONG...preach to me

The food I eat is WRONG... preach to me

My cultural values are WRONG... preach to me

My level of spirituality is WRONG...preach to me

My political allegiance is WRONG... preach to me

My faith views are WRONG...preach to me

Preach incessantly, our ways need change and yours are correct

Or maybe consider that by preaching you're failing to connect

These are honest words, with aims simply to express and beseech
