Remind her that she’s beautiful and bright,
may she feel your grip, holding her tight.
Lift her with joy and love,
like the landing of a morning dove.
Thank you for her special smile,
fill her with all that is good and no guile.
Make her bold and willing to kneel in humility,
thank you for all her gifting and agility.
Whisper faith statements in her ear,
when she’s tempted to step into fear.
Grant her friends that last,
and may they live to the fullest, having a blast.
Teach her how to handle correction,
and pour out on her your undying affection.
