Prayer of Love

as days go by

By Marie McGrathPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Five of Six

One sits here, One sits there,

In truth, I feel them everywhere

Pondering this and probing that,

Where so many dogs have sat

There once were six, now only two,

Those of the past, I treasure you

You’re my Sirius star, You’re Cuchulain bold,

You have filled my heart, my mind, my soul

No words describe the warmth of you,

I pray that you have loved me, too.

This is so tender and heartfelt. A beautiful tribute to the love and presence of those cherished souls, past and present. The emotions shine through—nostalgic, warm, and deeply loving.
