Mountain peaks

fluent in moonshine and sweet tea

Towns in the valleys disrupting evergreens

often in a daydream staring too long my mind begins to wander

the beauty of sunflowers uninterrupted

girls next door becoming meth corrupted

every little league game with a parent all to serious

surrounded with their geometric sequences at all times

every moment obscured by power defined in lines

imagination

foolishness

a lapse in reality or design

whichever it may be

I dream of broad rainbow brushstrokes across the landscape

devoid of powerlines

This is for those who look at the small towns they live in, every beauty or wonder only to be obstructed in view by a symbol of our progression as man.
