Post-parade posies

Daffodils drawn dreamy

Crowning your head.

Sunshine yellow woven through wavy blonde silk,

I'll never get over you.

~

Post-parade posies

Irises illuminate ideas

In your gentle mind.

Lilac petals blossom in thoughts,

Hidden behind long, sepia hair,

I'll never get over you.

~

Post-parade posies

Dahlias darken

In your hands.

Deep purples clutched by crimson red nails,

Your curly umber hair, a nightingale's halo,

I'll never get over you.

~

I've never known a grip so tight

As that of my heart

And of my soul.

~

Post-parade posies

Pothos privy to pain.

Petite plant apartment,

I walk home alone, again.
