Polarities

The Heartbeat of Becoming

By Madison JadePublished 3 months ago 1 min read
prickly n soft, taken at my grandma's house in AZ-one of my favorite places.

In the dance of polarity,

we chase our dreams beneath a blazing sun—

feet pounding, hearts racing,

Our minds,

what stubborn little things—

grip their versions of forever,

sculpted from forgotten bones,

aching to be seen—

souls ablaze,

we burn—

fueled by the promise of what could be.

We race toward the horizon,

eyes fixed on distant stars—

each step a testament to our desires,

each heartbeat an echo of where we've been—

But in the space where true love hides,

and dreams can only flow—

There lies the beauty of what truly is,

and what will always be—

where the Earth can simply breathe,

and the symphony is free to play—

for all eternity.

You see,

the river flows, unceasing,

but the lake holds her secrets in still waters—

each ripple an entire lifetime,

each breath a whisper,

reminding us—

that to chase is to live,

but to pause..

is to truly

be alive.

And somewhere between thirst and surrender—

we remember how to fly,

to move like wind over water—

sunshine in the rain,

resting while in motion—

we fall in love with pain.
