Producers are those who master it, while the quoted belongs to a writer who cannot perfect the essence.

The one who transfers from inherited works listens and savors the words of the ancients.

Poets wander in every valley,

plucking its flowers and drinking from its springs without pain or bitterness.

Poets are exposed to praise and elevation,

accompanying kings, presidents, and princes, and mingling with the arts.

But some have been slain by their words spoken without wisdom, or have been lost in the darkness of prisons.

Poetry is the song and speech of the soul,

the love of lovers and the haven of contemplatives.
