Dancing with distraction
I wrestle myself away from
Social media lures, opening my journal
To face a blank page.
Ready or not, here comes the poetry.
Arrested by wordplay,
Creating intricate linguistic puzzles,
Turning inward towards the muse,
I write,
Only stopping after the lines attain
Necessary closure.
