Coffee in my whiskey

Wasabi on my ice

mixed with coconut and rum

Cold War goes on a date

but only for tonight

he knows things that I do not

in a field all his own

your stories I'm dying to unlock

caught in a gaze of steel and stone

jewelry donned on fingers and wrists

his eyes shine a subtle gleam

though he adjusts himself overtly

coming closer with a means

to an end of which I fathom

my borders I temporarily suspend

"come here," my welcome visitor

I've caught every message you sent

"come back with me," his hands graze

over my fingertips

your vulnerability is capable

of granting my wish
