Poem Unite

Evey day there is something new

More hate and chaos spread

Like someone ads fuel to the fire

Hoping for destruction ahead.

Making division and groups

Highlighting differences and wrongs

Reminding of past mistakes

Placing blames where it doesn't belong.

Resurfacing pain and pride,

Raising the egos and heat.

Creating confusion and sadness,

until someone ends in defeat.

There are no victors in this pursuit.

There is no way for violence to win.

Somone needs to make this stop,

so that healing can slowly begin.

Forgive, but remember the past

Learn from mistakes and the pain

Love one another as humans,

so that peace can live here again.

There are just people living,

families that just want to be

Under the big politicians

They just want to be free.

It is not a game, it is real.

one life that's gifted to us all

Let's not allow anyone

Dictate when to stand or to fall.

Reach deep in your hearts,

find what unites our souls.

Let's help each other as friends

and achieve our dreams and our goals.
