Poem: Silent Forests
Why is the temperature on Earth increasing day by day?

In ancient times, the forests deep,
Held secrets in their shadows steep,
With canopies of vibrant green,
A wondrous sight, a living dream.
But now the axes and the saws,
Cut down the trees with no pause,
The forests fall, their whispers fade,
In sunlit glades, dark shadows made.
The creatures once in branches high,
Now search for homes beneath the sky,
Birds without their nests to rest,
A world bereft of nature's best.
The rivers run through barren lands,
No longer cooled by leafy hands,
The soil erodes, the earth grows dry,
Beneath a weeping, empty sky.
Each tree that falls, a silent cry,
A life that ends, a last goodbye,
The air grows thin, the heat expands,
Destruction wrought by human hands.
Yet in this dark and dismal tale,
A hope can rise, a love prevail,
To plant anew, to grow and tend,
To heal the wounds, the earth defend.
For every tree that’s felled today,
A hundred more we must display,
Restore the green, the shade, the life,
And end this senseless, endless strife.
Recycle wood, reuse the land,
Conserve the trees with careful hand,
Protect the forests, old and new,
For they give life to me and you.
Educate, inspire, and lead,
Fulfill the planet’s desperate need,
For in our hands, the power lies,
To save the forests, touch the skies.
Let's plant the seeds of hope and green,
To bring back life, restore the scene,
For future generations' sake,
The forests' song we must awake.
