Poem: Rocks Facts
Types of Rocks: Their properties

Rocks are ancient, strong and true,
They've been around since time immemorial, it's nothing new.
They come in all shapes, sizes and hues,
From the smallest pebble to the largest boulder, they're all clues.
Rocks are the building blocks of our earth,
They form mountains, valleys and even the hearth.
They're made of minerals, crystals and more,
And they hold secrets of our planet's core.
Some rocks are igneous, formed from molten lava,
Others are sedimentary, made from layers of sand and gravel.
And then there are metamorphic rocks, transformed by heat and pressure,
Each one unique, with its own special texture.
Rocks can be smooth, rough, or jagged,
They can be polished, carved or even tagged.
They can be used for construction, art or even jewelry,
And they're a constant reminder of our planet's history.
So next time you see a rock, take a moment to reflect,
On its journey through time, and the stories it can project.
For rocks are more than just lifeless objects,
They're a testament to our earth's enduring prospects.
