[Poem] I’m Not Waiting For!

We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.

I’m not waiting for

someone to show me, affection,

Because I have learned to love

myself enough.

I’m not waiting to

become someone’s priority

because I can never make them mine,

because for me, that is my parents always.

I’m not waiting for someone

to turn the page of my book,

As I can do that on my own

Because I can’t wait to see the next chapter that it offers.

I’m not waiting for someone

To make me smile

After crying the whole night

Because I have learned to pick myself up after every fall.

This poem should be read together with "Her Heart Poured On Paper" to really feel the depth of those lines.
