Poem: Golden Grey

Mal McGee

By Mal McGeePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

What color you would see if life was one?

Some blue mood, soaking in an empty sky,

To picture what was set, or not yet done.

Consider and reflect on what was nigh.

The highs can fall as well, we all reveal;

A scarlet craving will not give escape.

With every lusting eye, you choose to steal

A brooding touch on every nook and nape.

But violent, violet love can come of that,

Can be a gift to give or take, or share;

You needn’t rush; nor needn’t stay down sat.

It’s yours, just you, don’t let them say it’s theirs.

Just make it matter, what you plan to do,

A golden grey horizon waits for you.
