Pockets for Women

Their significance is underrated

And thus, it should be propagated

To all those willing to embrace

The lack of its own commonplace.

At what point was it made clear

That some of ours should disappear?

Isn’t there enough gender division

Without this separating decision?

Pockets are a must for women’s clothes

The cons can never outweigh the pros!

Pants, skirts, and even dresses

Without pockets only depresses.

My devotion can’t be understated,

Their value shouldn’t be discarded.

Why must we resort to other options

With pockets always in men’s fashions?

If anything it should be evident

Why this feature is so relevant

Wallets, phones, and other things

Oh, the carrying joys pockets bring!

You may not share my same passion

But please don’t discount the frustration

That many of us women often face

When there is not adequate pocket space.

Having to carry around extra baggage

Does not lead us to an advantage.

Clothing companies, this is a call to action…

No one should have to ask permission;

It’s time to reclaim our control…

More pockets for women is my goal!
