PLZ WASH UR HANDS!

What is more uncommon than the common ma̶n living a life unlike the next? This all may be commonplace; seldom is it all the same.

Brown hands wet in a dark ocean.

All I do is wash my hands

And scratch their back

After they had a head attack.

All I know is commonplace,

Finding common ground

In my place as commonwealth.

Then one day, they'll drive you anywhere

When the crowd's driven you out of there;

And with drive, you're pedaled back here.

•••

How funny is life, my honey?

I want honey and cunning.

You conned me into humming...

For them all.

I'll do it for them all.

I do it for myself,

Don't get me wrong.

For the hell of it.

For the innocent.

Still believe in heaven.

Still believe in sin.

•••

I just mean...

Don't forget to have fun.

Don't forget to fall...

In and out of it.

Surf the channels

And ride the waves.

For you're mad if you go,

Madder if you stay.

Better for it, babe.

Let them call us insane.

Who isn't—

And what doesn't leave a stain?

What doesn't make you crazy—

Leave you strange?

Love the wave lengths,

Love the dead brain days.

Close-up of a hand scribbling in a notebook, curls hanging over, with eyeglasses and a teacup to the side.

•••

All I do is wash my hands.

I always have.

I take seldom baths,

But I clean the necessary parts

Of this sedentary heart.

All our secondary art,

Never sold.

Now we're cold.

•••

Recharge my soul,

Look out my window.

Take a picture of the sky

On my phone in the night.

Wanderin', watered eyes.

Wilted, withering wings.

Leaves on dying trees.

Dreams on dreams inside dreams.

Saying goodbye.

Saying, I love you.

Saying, See you next time,

Knowing it's a lie.

•••

And when you exit the internet,

The real world crickets—

And maggots in your head,

They shush—hush!

Quiet now, not so wicked.

Wait 'til you see what I'm cookin'.

All I do is wash blood off my hands,

And it's usually my own.

Stream of blood running down a sink drain.
