For us plebeians to covet their days
While it proves to be certainly true
That libidinous notoriety pays

The Kardashian and Hilton mythos
Is built from a house of cards
Their hands of aces play Narcissus
To legacies untoward
.
Come join us with no possessions
I wonder if you can Imagine
Said the man worth a hundred million
Whose double fantasy died for our sins
.
American Express in green, gold, and black
Are our chosen emperors' new clothes
Each decade pulls popstars off the rack
To accrue on our plaque and adipose
.
Sex tapes and red carpet arrivals
Two things of the same exact ilk
Portend relevance's survival
And make the cows worth more than their milk
.
Where is noblesse oblige
Toward those who're less endowed?
Is it an ethos, non-starter implied
Toward those who've been disavowed?
.
Our age of media plutography
Covers the lives of the rich and famous
Invoking offensive pornography
From each beautiful ignoramus
