Pluto You too?

"Pluto, you too, have lost your place."

By Karun Published about a year ago 1 min read

They said, "You're not a planet now.

Your status has been stripped away."

But Pluto, in the endless dark,

did not let this judgment sway.

it still held its orbital steady

Though distant, cold and far away.

Pluto knew the truth that lay deep within.

in the cosmos, like an endless top

it owned an unstoppable spin

the scientist asked: "Would it ever stop?"

let them say what they believe.

Let words attempt to redefine.

For pluto does know, as we should too...

Its path and its truth

"Pluto, you too, have lost your place."

but no sound is heard in space

yet pluto asked "Have I changed?" to the stars.

"Am I less for being far?"

the Sun regardlessly warmed its icy heart.

And Pluto sparkled in its destined part.

"No name can change what I must do,

Pluto, you too? I’ll see it through."

Pluto, sturdyy followed the Sun.

"No name can change what I must do,

Pluto, you too? Yes, me too.

Why should I cease

just because of your point of view?

duty doesn't freeze

instead beauty finds release
