I waited for what seemed hours upon hours
To talk through a process and walk to a success
And find the answer to my query.
As lost as I was found, I couldn’t stand this shaky ground
I pleaded as a I needed for my question to be heeded
I heard these words that made me weary-
A disembodied voice left me no other choice:
“Please hold through the silence”
How long I waited, breath abated, my time belated-
On just a call – I saw it all – my life was the same ill-fated
The world outside my jaded window
Put me into a state of limbo
As I – as we – forewarned them all
To watch the earth before the fall
The silence became violence full of riot
Because we chose to keep our voices quiet.

this is amazing. After my first "hello", I simply say, "well, it was your quarter" and hang up.
