Alone but never lonely
With me all the time
when away, you’re in my mind
A sign, I’m in love
My muse, my enthuse
My upbeat tune if I sing the blues
Though I don’t foresee feeling down
When I have you around
To you I’m bound, I’m in love
My partner in crime, “My better half”
The line we utter to those who ask
My accomplice, my comrade
My ally whenever I need
I need you always, I’m in love
A journal for what’s inside of me
and I will be your diary,
we can hold on to each other’s secrets
as tight as we hold each other
Thoughts untold, unfold for only you
What can I do? I’m in love.
My treasure, my pleasure
more than with mere touch,
with words, actions, and presence
My abundance, my richness, my wealth,
I will prosper, I’m in love
My friend
My good friend
My best friend
Until the end
My one, my only, I’m in love

Dear Groundhogs...
Note: some of you do not celebrate Groundhog Day (every February 2nd). You might be familiar with Candlemas Day (European inspiration for the event). If the groundhog in question sees its shadow on a sunny day, six more weeks of winter; if not, an early spring. And our rodents - starting with Willy and Pete (there are others) - have different prognostications above and below our borders. Nice.

The Light Turns
It's Tuesday 7:13 a.m. A cold and clear November morning awaits Ray on his morning commute. Ray rubs his hands together in the front seat of his Subaru. He turns the air temperature up, but keeps the air on low until the air warms up. He looks at the backup camera screen and reverses the Subaru out of his driveway onto Trimble Road.
