Playing It Sweet

Holding you this Morning

What does this mean?

Today I didn't wake up lonely,

and you weren't just a figure in my dream

Today started early,

but we've been here before

Different beings to the world outside,

but the same when we close the door

You're still playing it cautious

You're still playing it sweet,

Cause real love makes you nauseous

but I won't admit defeat

A new day is calling

What does that mean?

At least we are not the ones lonely,

and your not still a figure in my dream

Today's gonna be worthy

Unlike the ones before

Different beings to the world outside,

but the same when we close the door

You're still playing it cautious

You're still playing it sweet,

Cause real love makes you nauseous

but I won't admit defeat

love poems
