Play the game

I wrote the poem 'Play the Game' as a reflection on my personal experiences and observations of life. I wanted to share my thoughts on how people tend to take life too seriously, with success and recognition as the ultimate goals. Life is an interesting game.

Players run towards fame.

But nobody is the same.

Hence comparing is lame.

You neither win nor lose.

You become what you choose.

Time to wake up, don't snooze.

Giving up, you have to refuse.

Being serious, you drop dead ,

play with involvement instead.

Spread butter on others' bread.

compassion is the path to tread.

Being complacent is a crime,

work and earn your good time.

Every little moment is a dime,

make sure you make it rhyme.
