the deepest kind of love

locked in the brain

after years away

you may not know where you stand

at first, you may believe there's hope

yearn, weep, give a chance

when you say it out loud, it disappears

those seconds before storm

matter the most

never say these words!

Ah, the rollercoaster of platonic love—deep, unshaken, yet hanging by a thread of unspoken words. One wrong move, poof! Gone. Best to keep it locked in the vault and enjoy the ride!

  • Never say it first. That's what everyone says. Both of these poems are really evocative & good, Maggie.
