Plastic Wrap Promises
a poem created from personal childhood abuse
Big sister's got a secret game
Plastic wrap and helmet, what a shame
Little one strapped in tight
Screams echo in the night
Race cars roar, tires screech
Older sister's thrill within reach
"Shut up, shut up," she commands
As fear grips little hands
Oh, sweet Popsicle bribery
Strawberry flavor to seal the deal
But karma's watching silently
The truth will soon reveal
Plastic bonds and sugary lies
Can't hide the tears in innocent eyes
The Divine sees what others miss
Justice waits in the abyss
Mexican treat, a frozen disguise
To keep the secret, to silence cries
But walls have ears, and shadows know
The seeds of retribution grow
Big sister thinks she's got it made
But karma's debt must be repaid
The wheel of fortune starts to turn
A lesson she's about to learn
Oh, sweet Popsicle bribery
Strawberry flavor to seal the deal
But karma's watching silently
The truth will soon reveal
Plastic bonds and sugary lies
Can't hide the tears in innocent eyes
The Divine sees what others miss
Justice waits in the abyss
