Plaster Dreams
Whispers of Love in A Fleeting, Imagined World

Here's a poem inspired by the themes of "Ceilings"by Lizzy McAlpine,
Plaster Dreams
Beneath these plastered ceilings high,
A quiet breath, a wistful sigh.
Your laughter fades, a soft refrain,
Like fleeting drops of summer rain.
The air between us hums with weight,
An unsaid truth, a twist of fate.
Your hand so close, yet far from mine,
A shadowed edge, a fragile line.
I spin a world of tender lies,
A place where your gaze never dies.
A dance beneath the crescent glow,
Where time bends slow, and we both know.
But plaster cracks, and dreams dissolve,
The truths we fear, they all evolve.
I blink, you're gone—a fleeting spark,
A whispered name in endless dark.
So here I sit, beneath the sky,
No longer ours, no reasons why.
The echoes linger, bittersweet,
Of something whole, now incomplete.
