Piano Fingers
a breakup nonet

Your piano fingers played me like an old upright
knowing where the sharps and flats resided within
the forte and crescendo of heart strings
a spontaneous melody of your choosing
scales running up my spine
oblivious to the different
tune you played
on another
heart
*Note: Instead of syllables, I used word count because the visual pyramid felt poetic here.

Wow , excellently crafted
Liked that piece.
Magnificent! As a pianist, I love this! My favourite simile to express heartbreak. 💔😢
