Photos She Captured
~ ~ ~ ~ ~

She was the type of girl who longed to inspire
a whole wonderous empire of creativity around her.
She captured moments in time, wherever she found herself.
The cute couples frolicking on the beach.
The somber ones, grieving by tombstones.
The young and new and, also, the old and fading.
Yes, her locks of auburn hair had a habit of chasing the setting sun.
When all was said and done, the stars winked their guiding approval.
A gossamer cobweb lifted in the breeze of the night, before the dew could catch it.
A pale pebble was flung, waking the surface of the ocean deep.
Another candid photo caught the moonlight gleaming proudly on the stone's face.
There was no saving face for this sanded old fellow,
who plummeted down deep.
In real life, too worn-out to forever-keep.
In fantasy, his picture prospered,
on her desk, for her hand to tenderly sweep.

I love how you painted a picture of a girl out in the world and then brought it all intimately to her desk and her heart.
When I do take a photo that I love, this is the exact feeling
Ah, I can so relate to this... I'm a total photophile and I can't help it! 😁✨☀️👀
