Phoenix from the Flames...

In this Goodbye.

Phoenix From The Flames

Your eyes will always be honest.

They will be telling a truth even when you are telling a lie.

So turn your head.

Look away from me as you say Goodbye.

For there is but one Good...

In this Goodbye.

That’s the Good riddance...

As you fade out of my life.

A burning bed of passion became a cold bed of lies.

Secrets came full circle as the contact drifted from your eyes.

We were shot with Cupid's arrow, but what gave him the right?

To aim so effortlessly, to fool us to believe in a love at first sight.

The taste was so sweet on your tongue of deceit.

I’d kicked many a bad habit, in you I found my defeat.

A moment's pleasure...

A sinner's treasure?

You dismissed my emotions...

At your leisure!

I discovered a meaning within the shallow feeling.

So today I bare no question why?

I have grown, I am wise...

I reveal truth behind the lies.

Our only future was to be found in Goodbye.

Bare in the stains the truth remains.

Bursts up into the sky...

Like a Phoenix From The Flames.

You can mask the words...

You can’t hide the truth.

It’ll rise on up as the relentless proof...

Fierce as A Phoenix From The Flames.

Fierce as A Phoenix From The Flames.
