What will rise from your ashes?

There was a spark at the start,

Led to sin by a self-serving heart.

Your love and judgement follow us into the dark.

You find us there, take our hand

And tell us we can make a new start.

How could he love us?

So cruel and depraved,

But that’s exactly who he came to save.

From the ashes to the flames,

From the fire to your reign.

From the darkness light became

You gave hope renewed again

Death and Sin you overcame

Like a Phoenix.

You name is love,

Your ways are higher

Found us amongst the fire and flame

You took sins, made them white as snow,

Raised us from the depths below

And now we will praise you.
