You want to get to know me?

I find that funny,

because your discovery

will vary

depending on which me

I let you see.

I may sound crazy

saying there's a bounty of me

but in actuality

your you's are as plenty

as my me's.

We pretend to be free

but in reality

we lock our true selves behind our masks

so no one can see

who we may really be.

So when trying to know me

ask yourself which me

it is that I let you see.

The comic or the cynic

Your friend or enemy

When really

what all I let you see

is just a fragment of the real me.
