The lens of reality,
basis on what we know to be true
perception being White and its’ reflection of the lack thereof -
real as our unreal realities are
Softness in me syncopating
with the snowy drift of pollen
dancing off dandelion plumes,
juxtaposing the ambiance
of a true winter storm’s winds
Identity as diverse as the changing seasons,
each beam of refracted light
shining, swimming-
within the spectrum received by the iris.
Shades made our own by a blend of brightness
special to the self
making up the aura that attracts another,
sharing light, mixing relations,
The blue in me turning your red a deep purple hue
paint palette after an inspired session -
pulling towards each other
by forces unseen,
creatures drawn together
as bees pulled by the ultraviolet throb
of a pollen filled bloom.
Color -
not existing beyond the processes of the rods and cones,
like attraction and identity,
are the result of what draws the soul
-nonexistent in any tangible sense, but as real as are felt,
leaving the crisp lines we are told they are
blurred between sexuality and gender,
a rainbow through a foggy sky -
seen from space, an infinite circulation of rays completing a spectrum,
leaving every aspect of expression, reality, intersectionality
as broad as Black,
every fluidity within its deepness.
