Perception Deceived

Things Aren’t Always As It Seems

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

Though “something from nothing” is perfectly flawed

Still, people insist that there isn’t a God

We see what we want and we trust in perception

Hold fast to rebellion, ignoring deception

Accepting assumptions because we’ve been told

“If layered in rock, it’s a billion years old”

Since God’s not constrained by the passage of time

Then God can make something “appear” in its prime

He answers to no one, He does as He wills

He made the first mountains that never were hills

Those early stars made weren’t from nebula first

Grown creatures He made didn’t need to be nursed

Like when He created both Adam and Eve

Both were mature, although babes, I believe

Before disobedience ushered in pain

The very first oceans had never seen rain

So come with the mocking, rebel with the taunts

The Lord’s still Almighty and does what He wants

What God first intended will soon be restored

When mysteries are answered, the “Day of the Lord”

inspirational
