Pearly Whites

Rotations, Revolutions, and Turnovers

By Gerard DiLeoPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read
Every dog has its day.

Its pearly whites

Feed the Pearly Gates

In hogbelly bites

When it masticates

*

Rudimentary arms

Will flap impotent

Even its thunder-thighs' charms

Won't outlive the rodent

"Who's laughing now, lizard-brain?"

*

Its doom comes

From the skies submitted

And evolution from

Rendered less fittest

*

Too big to fail

Makes failure likely

Sinking in shale

And extincting politely

*

The world will revolve

Rotating daily

Flora and fauna evolve

And Nature selects gaily

"Time's up, thunder-thighs!"
