Peach

Genesis Juan for Color Challenge

By Helen Sanchez-CortesPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

When I look at the mirror, I see some pink with red

Like petals of a flower

I can’t see how that slightest color was spread

All over the mirror

But, I can see how people would say

“You look like a peach”

Maybe I do look that way

That might be my nickname

How the red and the pink combine together

and transform into a sweet fruit as the color of a peach

That I sometimes see outside in the nice weather

How when the nice bright color of the sun

Shines on my face

Like the sun shines on a peach seed

It gives me a peach glaze

It gets the orange, red, and pink out of me

It gets into what my face could be

It turns into a peach
