PEACEFUL DAYS, PEACEFUL DAYS
- Faith Haltte

At the end of the road
Will I dare to jump?
Not to fly, not to walk
To swim, nor to breathe
A kiss from them is all I need
Perhaps I have forgotten who you sincerely are
Are you just a fantasy roaming through my mind?
Day after day and night after night
I sit and I think
Am I wasting my life writing about them?
A beautiful spark of light that brightens my night
They sit next to me, my skin smiles
They sit next to me, my heart takes flight
Last time I saw them was in my dreams, do they even exist?
When your truest desire lives not
You learn to live on asleep
Like the spider in my dreams, they only come to me in hopes and
schemes
Will I ever be their Regime's Queen?
I sit and wonder
I lay and I pray
Oh, how I wish for
Peaceful days,
Peaceful days,
