Just myself on this long highway ride
Stole my daddy's old muscle car
I knew he'd be pissed when he realized he was stranded at the bar
But he should have thought of that before cheating on his of twenty five years bride
I'm the same years of old and carbon copy of the man if story be told
But fairly good at pretending to have a heart of gold
So I stole his most prized possession in attempt to teach him a lesson
Don't mess with my momma or I'll call class to 'cession
It was almost dawn
Surely by now he should be having a cow
I imagined him wandering around bitching about the boozy women he was missing
To the bar tender who to tell him to "fuck off" all night he'd been itchin
Calmly I leaned back in the seat with a cocky smirk reveling in his unexpected defeat
And triumphantly puffed one of his cancer sticks hung casually from my lips
While I cruised down the open highway and cool morning drops began to drip from the tap in the sky
As if to mourn for this guy
Someone might
But not I
