Thirty plus days of this thing. And counting.

Israeli and Palestine are at it. Again. And counting.

I had hoped that these hearts entwined,

I had pained that this fate so unkind,

I had prayed that this crucible of strife, so unmind.

Would end sooner than later.

Have you ever once, twice, thought

That these two are almost linguistically intelligible

Testament to the placental kinship.

This brotherhood and sisterhood is of import.

For when Hamas murders at will thousand half Isreali

Then Israeli swears no end until murderers are force ended

Then tale of sorrow tragically unfolds with missile-laden skies

Plus deadly hail that shatters hopes

Hei! They are not there. Top Hamas guns fled.

To their minders. Hiding. Talking. Hiding. Cursing.

The few left behind have a vice grip hold on captives. May be.

The few left behind, are Hamas in other livelihood skins. May be.

This portends death on a scale unseen, hitherto.

These are a people who history knows differ

Follow me, an Israeli leads his soldiers to battle

That is their way, for times known.

I don’t fear them. I will die fighting, Hamas dares.

That is their way, it is recorded.

Did one just hear that!

Every life counts. End this war, the cry resounds,

Ours is a plea for peace on sacred grounds.

If there be nations that fan this fame, cease it.

If there be fanaticism cloak fan, cast it away.

If there be xenophobia, staining things, cast it away.

If there be power thirst pushing this death, cast it away.

I hear the UN's halls echo futile cries,

With vetoed resolutions, by permanents,

Thus, some nations lay frustrated.

”cause they carry non permanent labels

Who is less permanent in this grand charade?

My father once wised my elder brothers

Not to fight over an extension of an intestine.

It took me maturity to decipher his coaching.

In maturity, I know now only human parts are unshareable.

If this not be the divine reason for this war.

There may be other reasons.

If it be land, then sit down and share it, stop war.

If it be oil, then sit down and share it, stop war.

Peace in Israel Peace in Palestine.

A plea for peace, let it be extolled.
